Friday 08.05.11
We went up to Park City and shopped at the outlet stores. Then went to main street where we enjoyed some more shopping, pizza, live music & the Art Festival.
Saturday 08.06.11
I have never been to Hogle Zoo and the hubbs hasn't been since he was 12, so we decided to give it a go. It was a lot of fun to walk around and look at all the different animals. (we were the only one's there without kids...)
Later that evening, I surprised hubbs with tickets to Tim McGraw, which is his all time favorite country singer. He loved it. Our friend Steve surprised his girlfriend with tickets too, so we sat next to them. It was a blast to relax on the grass and listen to good music in good company.
Sunday 08.07.11 (Our actual anniversary)
One year ago I walked down the aisle to marry my best friends, my confident, my teacher, and my lover. I am the luckiest women to have such an amazing man to call my husband. He still makes me laugh so hard until my stomach hurts. He still makes me smile from ear to ear. He still gives me the butterfly flutters. ::we have been together 7 years:: I can't believe how fast time flies by and we have many more anniversaries to come...
We slept in till about 9:30, which is sleeping in for me :) We had a lazy morning relaxing in bed as we exchanged cards/gifts. After we were done with gifts, we watched our wedding video. It still bring tears to my eyes. I couldn't have asked for a more amazing day! After cuddling for about an hour we decided it was time to get ready for the day.
Our first activity we had plan was to hike up to Cecret Lake in Little Cottonwood Canyon. This is where he proposed to me, It was still just as beautiful as the day he proposed. It was quite busy with families enjoying the sunshine and beautiful landscape. If you live in this area I highly recommend this hike, it is fairly easy and has a beautiful lake to relax once your reached the top. Although this time it was a little harder for me seeing that I have to carry two up the mountain :)
To finalize our day we got ready to go up to Sundance, where we got married! It was crazy to walk around and relive our special day. After we walked around and took pictures we went to dinner at the Foundry Grill. It was still perfect even though I couldn't enjoy a glass of wine...
When we got home we cut our wedding cake and watched our wedding video. I must say 1 year old cake wasn't that bad, but the hubbs didn't enjoy it as much as I did. It was the perfect ending to our anniversary. Forever & Always
Monday 08.08.11
We woke up extremely early to make our 9:00 am ultrasound appointment. We were so nervous and excited. I had a feeling it was a girl, but hubbs insisted it was a boy. Stay tuned for what we found out :)
yours truly, Mr. & Mrs. Johns
