Swollen Everything
For the last week or so I have been so swollen...It could be the fact that
a.) I am on my feet all day long and don't elevate them enough
b.) I am eating too much salt? Which I don't think I eat a lot of
c.) I am dehydrated, but I drink my H20
d.) my body is just retaining water
Whatever the reason is my poor legs, arms and lil piggies (toes) are suffering. Any suggestions on what to do to control the swelling or what are the causes of swelling.
Braxton Hicks
Also I think over the past few days I have been having braxton hicks. I'm not positive but from what everyone has explained to me, I am pretty sure I have had a few. My stomach gets really tight to where it is uncomfortable but not painful....Will I know the difference between preterm labor and actual labor?
Birthing Classes
I have always said I was going to try and do an all natural birth plan. I plan on doing hypno-birthing, which is mostly just focusing on breathing and meditation. I say "try" because I am a type A personality, which means I like to have a plan and if things don't go according to plan, then I tend to freak out. So I am trying to go in with an open mind. If I can't handle the pain I won't be disappointed if I have to get an epidermal. If I need to be induced then so be it. And if I have to get a c-section then it will be alright, although that is my last choice. As long as my baby girl is healthy, then how she got here isn't the important part...
I have heard a lot of opinions on taking birthing classes. Are they worth it? Did you learn anything or was it pointless? Should I take the classes so I am prepared for any situation? What is everyone's thoughts on birthing classes?
Sleeping
Ummmmmmm what is that? I usually fall asleep for a few hours, then right around 2:00am I wake up and can't go back to sleep. I wake up to my whole left side numb since that is the "position I should be sleeping on." But I will stack my pillows and lay on my back to give my left side a rest. But it is getting harder for me to breathe in the night and for me to move around and my hands get so swollen they are to stiff to move. Ugh I guess I won't be getting a goodnights rest for quite some time......
yours truly, Mr. & Mrs. Johns
OMG I completely know what you are talking about when you wake up and your fingers are so swollen in the middle of the night and you can't move them! I forgot about that until I read your post. Maybe try a pregnancy pillow? It helped me to get into a more comfortable position. Good luck on getting a good nights sleep!
ReplyDeleteUgh, it is the worst feeling...I do have a pregnancy pillow. Nothing seems to help. Hahahaha I should just give up now :)
