Happy Mother's Day

One year ago today, I found out I was creating the most precious gift. Now one year later I get to celebrate this holiday with my daughter. Thank you Elliana for coming into my life. You are the best part of my day, everyday. 


My 1st mother's day was perfect. We started off the morning by all hanging out in bed. Just giggling, talking and cuddling. The hubbs than brought in a gift bag. It had a beautiful card from the Hubbs. He gave me some workout clothes, a water bottle, the book The Lucky One and a gorgeous bouquet of roses. Everything I've wanted for awhile. As if I wasn't spoile enought...he then brought in another bag, that was from Elliana. It was the necklace of her zodiac sign that I have been wanting. 

Sagittarius: free-spirited. adventurous. optimistic

We haven't had time to go to the grocery store so hubbs ran to Mickey D's for some breakfast. 


We then opened gifts with my mom. 
She got "me" a pack n play for Elliana and a ton of clothes. Just what we needed since we will be travelling this weekend and a ton this summer.


After we ate we tried to get Elliana down for her 3 hour nap before our plans at 1:00. But of course lil miss did not want to take a nap. She finally went down for about an hour, just enough time for mommy and daddy to get ready. I didn't know where we were going, only that we were going somewhere for brunch. I guess you could consider it drunch at 2PM :) 

The hubbs surprised me by going to Faustina, a cute little bistro downtown. 


It was fanastic. We had reservations for the patio. 78 degree weather. Sunshine. Light breeze. 
To start we had their creme brulee oatmeal with fresh fruit. Delish.
Then I had a salmon citrus salad. Delish.
Hubbs had their Faustina benedict. Delish.
& Lil miss Ella was on her best behavior.


After we headed to the in-laws house to tell my mother-in-law happy mothers day. 


Oh and right before bedtime you did the biggest laugh and mommy got it on camera :)

It was the perfect day. I am so grateful to have such a beautiful family.


Happy mothers day to all you amazing moms, soon to be mamas, grandmas and those woman who want to be moms more than anything. It truely is the hardest job, yet most rewarding and you all deserve to be pampered!
