We had to put my cat (Whiskers) down about 2 weeks ago.
I had him for 20 years.
Santa brought him to me when I was 6 years old. I still remember that Christmas. I got a note from "Santa" saying I had a surprise downstairs in the basement.....I ran down there to find this timid kitty. The one I saw at the pet store weeks before and balled my eyes out when my mom told me I couldn't take him home.
I will miss you Whiskers. I love you and hope you are chasing all the mice in heaven.

Oh I am so sorry :( I know it is hard to lose a pet, they become such a part of the family. Thinking of you and your family.
