I said, "YES"

 

I have been slacking on my blogging. So much has happened since my last blog. The most exciting news is.......................I am going to be Mrs. Johns ;)

Rex proposed to me on July 14th, 2009!! We went on a hike up to Secret Lake up Cottonwood canyon around sunset. When we got to the lake it was pretty crowded. So we found a rock right on the lake and laid out our blanket. We just talked about everything and anything. Finally we had the whole lake to ourselves, Rex stood up and turned around to me and said, "Baby, do you wanna spend the rest of your life with me?" I said jokingly, "Ugh, I don't know hehe." He then got on one knee and said, "because I want to spend the rest of my life with you." We both started crying and kissing and hugging. After a few minutes, Rex asked me, "so can I take that as a yes?" I said of course, Yes, Yes, Yes!! It was perfect and I can't wait to start our lives together. We have accomplished so much already for our big day:

• Venue.....Sundance Resort.
• Wedding Dress....Monique Lhuillier
• Flowers.....Roses from Whimsy Floral
• Colors.......Chocolate Brown, Champagne, Taupe, Ivory, Blush pink

We are in the process of getting our save the date cards, which will keep everyone updated on our progress.
