6 weeks down

I am 6 weeks and 3 days and my lil babe is the size of a pea!
Symptoms:

  • Boobs are tender and feel full
  • I feel nauseas but have NOT thrown up yet. (Knock on wood)
  • Nothing sounds good to eat
  • I get really tired (I usually go to bed around 8:00 pm)
  • Occasional headaches
  • Oh & I have pregnancy brain
Overall, I feel pretty good, but I kind of want "morning sickness" so I know I am pregnant and that my body is changing. (I know I know I'm weird. Who wants morning sickness? Me.) I read it only affects 3 quarters of women and the rest might not get sick. So maybe I will be in those lucky few that don't get sick.

Emotions: I have noticed that I become irritable out of the blue (poor hubbs) and I have only broken down and cried once, but I have had a couple times I could have cried for no reason.

Thoughts: I don't think it has really hit me that I am pregnant...that I am creating and carrying my lil girl/boy over the next 7 1/2 months...that I am going to be able to feel him/her move...that I am going to be a mother...and have the greatest gift I could have asked for.

When does it finally hit you that you truly are pregnant?

yours truly, Mr. & Mrs. Johns

  1. Oh Britt! The joys & woes of carrying a baby for the first time. :) I too remember feeling all those things, but I can now say you should just rest assure that everything will be fine. Try not to read 'everything'. You don't need the added stress of wondering could things happen to you etc. Only read things that apply to how you currently feel & what you are experiencing. There is no need to freak out the mother to be. Trust me, it will help with the random cries & moodiness. :) I'm so excited for you! You will be a wonderful momma! XOXO
