It was positive :)

I began noticing I wasn't feeling well on Saturday May 6th. I  asked the hubbs what he thought about me taking a pregnancy test. He told me I was probably over thinking it and to wait because my monthly visit was due to arrive the next day,  Mothers day.  I figured I was over reacting and held off. Sunday passed and "aunt flo" didn't come. Monday passed and still no signs of "aunt flo." So come Tuesday I needed to figure it out before it drove me crazy. So I called my friend April and said I need to get a pregnancy test. So we headed to Target and bought a box. I had to pee so bad at this point so we headed straight for the restrooms. It took about 1 minute (longest minute of my life) results=PREGNANT. I couldn't believe it. All I could say was "holy shit, does that really say pregnant?" So many emotions went through me. I was shocked, scared, and excited. Once I was able to gather my thoughts we headed to the baby section to find a bib and card to tell the hubbs and my mom.

When I got home the hubbs was making dinner. I gave him a kiss and told him I was going upstairs to change. I then set up everything. I texted him to come upstairs so I could show him something. (he never got my text till later, but came up to change) I pointed to the card and he began reading. He immediately started to tear up a little and came and hugged me and said your pregnant? I then gave him a bib that says I love daddy and showed him the proof, my pee sticks. He was in total shock and excited. We then went and told my mom. We told her we forgot to give her a mothers day card. She was totally shocked and excited. We were so exited we told his parents and our close  friends.

Even though I have already taken 3 tests and all came back positive, I still like to take the tests to reassure me that I am pregnant. The hubbs purchased me 4 tests to get me to my first doctors appointment on May 25th.

We are truly blessed and are excited for the new adventures coming our way. I can't wait to experience pregnancy and motherhood.
yours truly, Mr. & Mrs. Johns

  1. That is awesome Britt! Congratulations!!! Do you know your due date yet? Isn't it crazy how fast your emotions roll in? I literally was passing the floor back and forth. I love how Rex reacted. Where are you guys living? If you need a doctor, I had the best one in the entire world. Let me know if you are interested. Congrats again!!!

  3. @Rhonda - wow i didn't know that we were back in junior high. Before you start getting involved in a complete strangers life maybe you should start addressing the issues in your own.
